        Feb 2nd 1913 I baked bread and mended some. Geneva went over to the other house and got some carrots and apples for dinner. She wasnt feeling well all day and she had a Baby boy between 10 & 11 oclock that night. It was awful cold and stormy all day and all night. It snowed 2 or 3 inches but drifted badly in places.

        Other entries of the time make it clear that Morris and Geneva were at the Allison farm ("Rosemere Lodge") 1 mile south of Fort Calhoun NE and that Geneva's mother, Mary McCoy, was with them.
