Note Willie may have been buried in the Roseland Mennonite Cemetery in Adams County NE. His mother, Mary McCoy, makes a note of visiting that cemetery during a visit to the area in 1908. He appears along with siblings in the list of students attending School No 20 in Adams County NE in 1880. He is absent from the lists thereafter. The Juniata (NE) Herald of 26 Aug 1880 states that he died of 'membranous croup' on 19 Aug 1880. The notice states that he was 11 years old, which is inconsistent with other records. However, it correctly reports that he was the son of Anderson McCoy.
