Death	Note: 1 Edmund is described as having died as a result of multiple hemorrhages, and the way this is stated suggests that this problem was not limited to the final event(s). When combined with his childhood history of lameness, it raises the question of possible hemophilia. Note: 2 Text of newspaper article: The Winston-Salem Journal Tuesday Morning, September 6, 1904 Mr. E. G. Leak Dead ____ Was Spending Vacation With His Mother Here. Mr. Edmond G. Leak died at the home of his mother, Mrs. Nannie E. Leak, 218 Broad street, last night at 8:15 o'clock. Mr. Leak was at home from the Louisville Medical College which he has attended for two sessions, spending his vacation. His health had been bad for the past month and the last of six hemorages within the past three days was very severe, ending in his sudden death. The deceased was 35 years of age and was highly esteemed by his many friends. The funeral arrangements had not been made last night. Mrs. Leak, who has been constantly at the bedside of two of her children in the past three weeks, succumbed to the strain last night and is now confined to her bed.
