        Grace E. Montgomery
        Grace Montgomery, 78, a resident of Liberty, Texas, a former resident of Bartlesville, and the widow of the late William E. Montgomery, died Tuesday, at 8 a.m. in a Houston, Texas, hospital following a two-month illness.
        Mrs. Montgomery is being removed to Bartlesville and funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. Friday in Colonial Chapel of Neekamp Funeral Home. Dr. Bill Cook, pastor of the First Baptist Church, will serve as officiant for the services. Final committal rites will be accorded Mrs. Montgomery in the family plot of Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of Neekamp Funeral Home.
        A memorial for Mrs. Montgomery has been established for the American Cancer Society, and those who wish to contribute in her memory may do so in care of Mrs. Mary Holmes, Union Bank and Trust, Bartlesville.
        Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Katherine Crawford (Crandord), Ponca City; Mrs. Carmeta Carver, Liberty, Texas; Mrs. Georgia Cooper, Del City, Okla.; and Mrs. Marie Harsell, Garland, Texas; two sons, Mr. Floyd W. Montgomery, Miami, Fla; andMr. James E. Montgomery, Puyallup, Wash.; two brothers, Mr. Everett Bretz, 4815 Roiling Meadows Road; and Mr. Francis Bretz, Atascadero, Calif., one sister, Mrs. Leta Gore, Alexandria, La.; 24 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
        Mr. And Mrs. Montgomery were former residents of Bartlesville where he was associated with the Phillips Petroleum Company. They were transferred from Bartlesville in 1922 to Smackover, Ark., where he remained actively involved with Phillips until his retirement in 1957.
        Mr. Montgomery preceded her in death in 1963 and she continued her residence in Smackover until 1975 at which time she made her residence in Liberty, Texas, with her daughter. She has been in failing health for the past two months. She was a memberof the Heights Baptist Church in Liberty, Texas.
