James was born in New York City, attended Christopher Columbus H.S., graduated from U of F, earned his MBA from FIU and his Juris Doctorate from U of M. He was Assistant City of Miami Attorney and Executive Director of Community Redevelopment Agencies for the City of Miami. James was predeceased by his father, Francis and is survived by his mother, Patricia; brothers, Stephen (Marta) and John; sisters, Kathleen (Thomas Warren) and Noel; children, Ryan, Kaitlin and Megan and six nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 7-9:30 PM Saturday, February 5 with Wake Service at 8:00 PM at Stanfill F.H. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 PM Monday, February 7 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 1400 Miller Road, Coral Gables, FL.
