The Rev. Marshall T. Steel read the ceremony and Miss Ruth Neece, pianist, and Miss Betty Albright, vocalist, presented the music.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride was dressed in an ivory satin gown designed with a tight-fitting bodice, fashioned with self-covered buttons, and a full skirt which swept into a train and was ornamented with corded bows of white satin. Her two-tiered veil of illusion was caught a tiara of pearlized orange blossoms. The bride carried a bouquet of white carnations and bouvardia.
Miss Virginia Jean Stewart of the WAVES, Washington D.C., sister of the bride, was maid of honor, and Miss Theresa Fielder and Miss Eileen Houser were bridesmaids. Pvt. Ralph L. Stewart of Camp Hood was best man with Pfc. George E. Sturm of Camp Maxey and Leonard French as ushers.
During a reception at the home of the bride, Mrs. Fred Crabtree cut the three-tiered cake and Mrs. Cecil Henson of Corpus Christi served the punch. Miss Hazel Clark presided at the bride'Äôs book.
Other out-of-town guests were Mr. And Mrs. Stewart and Mrs. Ralph L. Stewart Jr.
As the couple left for a wedding trip to Chattanooga, Tenn., the bride was wearing a brown crepe frock with brown and white accessories. She had a corsage bouquet of Peruvian lilies. She will return to Dallas when her husband reports to Camp Livingston. Mrs. French is a former student of Oklahoma A. & M. College at Stillwater, Okla.
