"Former Bartian dies Wednesday in Arkansas"
William Earl Montgomery, 71, a former Bartian and a brother of J. C. Montgomery of Bartlesville died Wednesday morning at Smackover, Ark.
A former resident of Bartlesville, he left in 1922 to work on a Phillips Petroleum Company lease at Smackover where he has lived since. He retired in 1957.
Other survivors include his wife Grace of the home: five daughters, Mrs. Marie Hartsell, Stamps, Ark., Mrs. Earline Watts, Smackover, Ark., Mrs. Carmeta Carver, El Campo, Tex., Mrs. Georgia Cooper, Sedalia, Mo., and Mrs. Katherine Cranford, Ponca City, two sons, James of Puyallup, Wash., and M-sgt Floyd W. with the U. S. Army, Homestead, Fla; one sister, Mrs. Ada Stewart being in Texas, three brothers, J. C. of Bartlesville, John of Seminole, and Ed of Hope, Ark.
Funeral services will be held in Joyce City, Ark. at 10:30 a.m. Friday. The body will be brought to the Keeley Neekamp Funeral Home here Saturday.
Graveside services will held at 10 a.m. Monday at memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Ross Williams officiating.
